What is it?
Starting Valentine's Day, all people, no matter where they are in the world or from what religion, social status, cultural, scientific, spiritual, or other background, are encouraged to jointly pause momentarily, for once (or both) of the two synchronized daily times, which are 12 noon and 12 midnight GMT, to Meditate, Pray or Focus (MPF) on a united Moment of Love.

What to Meditate, Pray, or Focus on?
The general idea is to THINK or FEEL LOVE with others AT THE SAME TIME, in an act of UNITY and harmony. During this time take a moment to let go of inner and outer battles of EGO and IMP (inner mental programming) and INSTINCTS, to take a pause from the mental chatter and INSTEAD...
...Meditate, Pray, or Focus on...
First and Foremost - feelings of love!
It could be: |
- religious reflections;
- listening to music;
- hugging a loved one;
- walking in nature;
- hugging a pet;
- giving or witnessing an act of kindness;
- spiritual contemplations;
- or anything else that gives you 'THAT LOVING FEELING'
During this Moment, if you are not able to physically do these actions then ENVISIONING them is great also!
The "L" Word
If the "L" word leaves you blank or gives rise to uncomfortable associations - that's okay! - you can instead focus on other things such as:
- global connection through a spiritual oneness sense (think of all people on earth connected spiritually or energetically) and/or an awareness of the physically shared living earth below their feet (you can envision the common planet that we all live on or even look down towards the earth. If you are outside you can even reach down and lovingly touch the earth)
- a vision of a healthy I and a healthy world (see your body and mind feeling healthy, full of energy, calm, peaceful, etc. See the earth looking healthy with clean clear air, aqua blue waters, and lots of vibrant green plant life)
- the pulse of the present moment (feel your own pulse, your own breathing; hear the sounds around you; if your head is full of thoughts, tell yourself that’s okay and just observe the stream of thoughts for a moment and then bring your attention back to your breathing and heartbeat)
- and/or simply good feelings (pick something that you know brings you good feelings; preferably something that is not too harmful; it could be whatever makes you feel good when you do it or think about it such as holding hands with a loved one, going to the movies, helping others, receiving help from others, the birth of a child, a vacation, a massage, the feeling after a good workout, or even drinking a cold beer on a hot summer day; do not judge the thought, just be aware of the good feelings).

When?
This global MPF, this collective constructively conscious brain power of various good feelings, is coordinated to two fixed daily times of noon and midnight GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), starting February 14th, 2011.
After Valentine's Day try to join for a few seconds every day! You can figure out what the two times are in your region by using the countdown clock on this website as shown here:

Once you know the times, set two recurring daily alarms, (but exclude one of those alarms if it falls during your normal nightly sleep time, just tell yourself as you drift off that you will be connected in your dreams) mark your calendar, or make a note. Be on time for the Global MPF just as you would for a doctor’s appointment or the start of your favourite television program.
What if I already MPF on something else at that same time?
If the coordinated time happens to be when you usually meditate, pray or focus on other things, try to still be subconsciously involved in this global MPF. If you know the 2 daily times, and your heart is into it, it is a good start. Actively or subconsciously participating in this global MPF, it doesn’t matter; you will still be connected with others involved.
For how long?
Go for at least a minute or two if you can, but if it’s just for a few seconds that’s okay. If you have the time, continue MPF-ing for up to 5 to 10 minutes or more.
How do I know when the exact time is?
You can know the exact time in your time zone either by watching the countdown clock or knowing beforehand what the time is in your area. For example if it is 8 in the morning and you see that the counter on this website shows 2 hours left, then you know that the next MPF is at 10 in the morning. The exact time will usually be at the top of the hour or in some places half past the hour (such as in Newfoundland, Canada or Kabul, Afghanistan). A few places in the world will be 45 minutes past the hours such as Kathmandu, Nepal. Check the countdown clock to verify your time and set your alarm!
What if I'm driving a vehicle or doing something that I can't stop?
Always pay complete attention to something you cannot safely stop doing at the moment. If you can safely pull over or safely stop what you are doing, then do so. But if you can’t stop, that’s okay; just like when you are sleeping or MPF-ing on something else, tell yourself that you will join in subconsciously to the global MPF.
What is the purpose/goal?
The goal is simply to feel love or feel good and be globally conscious, connected, cooperative, and constructive and as described elsewhere on this page, to have a common purpose. The Global Moment of Love is also and experiment of coordinated attention as happens when large groups of people are thinking similar
What will happen?
We will at least experience a common purpose. When a nation wins the final game in overtime of a popular sport with a rival country, you will have people from all walks of life, looking at each other in the eyes and high fiving, feeling connected.
If, as a world nation in overtime with our rival (our destructive IMP and instincts) we join together as the human team and meditate, pray of focus on feelings of love or just good feelings of some sort, we will feel connected. Imaginary or real, it doesn’t matter; it will at least create camaraderie, a common purpose, between the fans.
Has this been done before?
Yes. Maybe not quite the same way, but various organizations, websites, congregations, spiritual groups, etc have had some form or other of a call for global connection on many occasions. Also world natural disasters bring us together through meditation, prayer or focus on a common cause.
What to think about?
When you are MPF-ing, be aware of others doing the same with you at the same time. Also remember the list:
- any loving feelings
- global connection through a spiritual oneness sense and/or an awareness of the physically shared living earth below their feet;
- a vision of a healthy I and healthy world;
- the pulse of the present moment;
- and/or simply good feelings.
What to do with your body?
Pause from whatever you are doing if that is possible and pick something from the list. You can also, physically or mentally, place one hand over your brain representing control of your programmed mind and instincts, and one hand over your heart representing acting with love. What if I'm sleeping during the global MPF?
If one of the times falls during your sleep, that’s okay; just join the world at the other fixed time—but tell yourself as you fall asleep that you will be participating in your slumber.
Join in!
Wherever and whoever you are, join the global tribe daily for at least one of those two pauses on Feb 14th; then do it everyday. Once you find yourself participating on a regular basis, the next step is to make the global connected mindset of love a constant part of your day.
