Healthy World ! |
IS A HEALTHY EARTH POSSIBLE?
A healthy world is possible! We can save the Earth! By practicing a Healthy I together we will achieve a Healthy World!
As considered throughout the book HealthyIsm Healthy I, Healthy World! having a loving, respectful, caring relationship with the mother of us all, mother Earth and all its nature, will be a tremendous help to you as you strive to stop destructive habits and embrace a healthy lifestyle. |
Earth - The Great Fragile Resource
A sustainable healthy, happy, prosperous life largely depends on mother Earth, which supplies us with so many gifts. In addition to its obvious gifts of air, food, water, and shelter, the Earth also offers such wonderful stuff as eco-diversities and different means of energy.
One thing you must learn to do is to ensure that our common world is always treated as a sustainable resource. Regardless of what you take from it, you must ensure that you have a positive, or at least neutral, effect on the Earth. You must ensure that you are careful with other people, other animals, the forests, the oceans, soil usage, toxic chemicals, and ultimately nature's balance. Invest in and demand constructive products and services, cheap and clean fuel sources, and organic, unprocessed foods.
Things we can do that will help the Earth
There are many things that we can all do to help the earth such as eat a diet that is more vegetarian, consume less, plant some trees, buy local, walk or bike instead of drive, use paper or cloth bags instead of plastic, and of course all the R's – recycle, reuse, refurbish, restore, replant, rethink and so on. Here are a few more things we can do:
First And Foremost - Help Your Self!
You can best help the Earth by treating yourself with the utmost respect and care. Think of your body as an extension of the earth (like the rest of the plants and animals), a diverse mini-ecosystem of different parts, organs, elements, chemicals, etc, that is also fragile and requires great respect and care.
Recognize Your Destructive IMP And Instincts
Any mess that we witness in the world today is the result of unaware thinking and acting. If would be nice if we could wake the world up with a snap of our fingers out of a destructive trance and suddenly operate globally in a calm and kind constructive manner. Who knows, that may actually happen through some event that humans witness, but until then the best thing we can do is to wake ourselves up, recognize our destructive IMP and instincts, take control, and live our lives harmoniously and constructively. If you haven't already, read the book HealthyIsm Healthy I, Healthy World! for a method to take control of your life.
Prevent Disease In Your Body
Participate in events that are about awareness of what a person can do to be healthy. We have in Canada an event called"Run for the Cure," which is dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education, and awareness programs. This is a great cause, and it is very much needed, but we must also have an event called "Run for the Optimization of Health," an awareness-of-what-we-can-do-to-help-prevent-diseases-in-the-first-place raising experience that is more
Hang Your Clothes to Dry
Until some scientist or a guy (or gal) in his garage comes up with a free non destructive energy source, invest in the most accessible cheap energy currently available, namely your muscles and a clothesline. Hanging your clothes to dry instead of using a clothes dryer that globally sucks huge amounts of power is a great way to help the earth.
Try hanging your clothes utside, on furniture or on that treadmill that you use "daily". You can also participate in a week long yearly event called International Clothesline Week as a kick start to helping the world. Go to www.hangtodry.com for more info.
Choice: The Power to Support And Influence Corporate And Government Healthyism
Do what you can to ensure that companies and governments learn to live a life that promotes a healthy world. Choose wisely where to vote or trade your dollars for services and products.Individual private usage of our earth's resources only accounts for 25% of all consumption; the majority is being used by the "big guys and gals."
