Run For Optimization of Health |
| |
We have in Canada an event called "Run for the Cure," which is dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education, and awareness programs. This is a great cause, and it is very much needed, but we must also have an event called "Run for the Optimization of Health," an awareness-of-what-we-can-do-to-help-prevent-diseases-in-the-first-place raising experience that is about helping people take the actions necessary to get healthy and give their bodies the best chance of being strong and not developing the diseases in the first place.
By now we know that even if we have the genes necessary to develop certain diseases, there are actions we can control that will highly influence whether those genes are unlocked and a disease developed or not.
Two important keys to keeping destructive genes locked: |
- Preventing toxins from affecting the body by stopping them from entering the body, neutralizing their adverse effects
( like the body's ability to store toxins harmlessly in our fat ), or moving them through and out of the body; and
- Be optimally healthy by providing the body with all the movement and materials necessary to keep it strong and healthy.
|
Feeding the body optimal nutrients and exercise helps you attain and maintain a healthy mind and body—and feeding the mind a seed of hope contributes to an optimistic outlook on life providing perhaps a little less fear and stress in daily living. Call it daydreaming or a far-fetched imagination, but it's gratifying to think of healthy, constructive humans in a healthy, constructive world. We all have an infinite number of paths forward through our control of IMP and instincts and the choices we make.
"If you are interesting in participating in a Run for the Optimization of Health (ROH) event or volunteering in some capacity, send an email to Healthy@HealthyIsm.com and in subject line put either Participate or Volunteer. If you are able to donate any amount to ROH, click this secure Pay Pal link, and place the words "Donate Run" and "Your Name" in the Purpose box so we can direct all donated funds towards this event." |
